Monet's Garden in Giverny

Monet's Garden, Giverny
|
Another reason for returning to the Paris area was Monet's Garden. It opens in April, so we could not see it in February when we were in France for our first trip.
After reading "Linnea in Monet's Garden", we had to see Monet's Garden. It was a wonderful garden and colorful house. Many rooms are painted with various shades of blue, so we discovered about 40 shades of blue. The only exception was the dining room. This room was painted bright sunflower yellows and so we discovered about 40 shades of yellow as well. The colors of the room make you feel warm and cozy. We walked across the Japanese Bridge. We saw the old rowboat in the small pond and the larger lily pond but the water lilies were not in bloom.
