Our destination the next day was the small country of Andorra. Since it was still February, we had to drive through a snowy pass in the Pyrénées Mountains. We managed to drive behind a slow truck for many miles but it gradually became too difficult. Since it started snowing again and the driving conditions were becoming more difficult, we decided to turn around. Before turning around, we put on our tire chains, so we would not get stuck in the snow. It was the first time for using the chains, so it was challenge to put them on the tires. Gradually, we made it down the mountain. We moved out of a mountainous region to the mountain summit and then to the hilly plains and finally to the coast. As we arrived at the coast, we experienced a stunning sunset. The muted greens of the hilly plains, the snow capped lavender mountains, and the rosy streaks of sunlight created a memorable sunset.
